“Summer Wine” Embroidered Wallhanging
by Jenny Haskins
Jenny Haskins’ newest quilt project, “Summer Wine”, is a richly embroidered and appliquéd quilt. It’s perfect for learning techniques for large scale embroidery arrangements and machine embroidered appliqué. Students will embroider the large center panel of the quilt in a three-part class. This is the perfect size for a wallhanging, or you can use this center panel as part of a queen size quilt.
The purchase of Jenny Haskins’ book “Summer Wine” is required for this class. The book includes a free design CD to make all the projects. The beauty of the Summer Wine designs is not only that they can be made into this glorious quilt, but that the individual sections of the quilt are equally beautiful made into pillows, pillow shams, table runners, wall-hangings and items of clothing – the list is endless (and so too are the number of possible color combinations; a selection of which are shown in the book). We have also used the designs as easy Embroidery Decoupage on furniture, mirrors, a foot warmer for the bed and matching pillow shams.

- We try to design our classes to accommodate all levels of sewing skills, beginning to advanced — if you have any questions or concerns about a class, please do not hesitate to ask.
When you take a class at Paramount, we intend to teach you the basic concepts for the class. Our goal is to provide you ample time to grasp the concepts and do part of the project. The time allowed may not be enough to finish the entire project, but you will have the knowledge needed to complete it very successfully.
We look forward to seeing you soon.
