Beginning Machine Quilting - Salem

Eager to try your hand at piecing, quilting and binding? Jocelyn will guide you through the process of rotary cutting, piecing, quilting with a walking foot and machine binding as you create a set of placemats.

Please bring all of these supplies to class, and be sure to put your name on all items you bring (just in case they are left behind).

  •         Sewing machine and everything you need to use it (power cord, foot control, presser feet (1/4” foot), bobbins, spool cap, etc. and the instruction book if you don’t know how to use your machine).
  •         New needles, size
  •         Good quality thread for piecing
  •         Scissors
  •         Good quality sewing pins
  •         Seam ripper
  •         Rotary cutter
  •         Cutting mat (18” x 24”)
  •         18” – 24” ruler for cutting strips
  •         1/2 yard of two different fabrics or 1/3 yard of three different fabrics
  •         Craft size batting
  •         Walking foot
  •          free motion foot
  •            If you have a sew steady this does help

Requirements: You must know how to use your machine.
