Bernina 5/7/8 Club - Eugene

In this third bimonthly class for Bernina 5/7 and 8-series owners, we'll be learning about pinpoint placement and absolute check with the embroidery module.

Instructor: Millie Schwandt


  • Bernina embroidery machine and embroidery module with power cord/foot control
  • Cutwork/straight stitch plate
  • Large oval or midi hoop
  • #26 embroidery foot, #7 tailor tack foot and #20C or #20D open embroidery foot
  • New 75/11 embroidery needle or 80/12 topstitching needle
  • Good quality embroidery thread to contrast with fabric;variegated cotton, poly or rayon is fun for this project
  • Two bobbins, one wound with bobbin thread of your preference and one wound with matching thread to your top thread
  • Embroidery tape (RNK pink, Kimberbell or painter’s tape)
  • Small scissors or snips
  • Frixion or removable marker
  • Rotary cutter and 6" X 24" ruler
  • Any other sewing notions you like to use during embroidery
  • Stabilizers:
  •  Fabric:
    • 1/2 yd. cotton, solid or blender, cut in half with one half pre-treated with Terial Magic, Perfect Sew or other fabric starch


Requirements: Lessons are open to people who purchased their machine from Paramount.
