Pandas in Sweaters - Salem

What’s cuter than a panda? A panda wearing a sweater!

Make a patchwork panda block for a pillow or quilt.

SUPPLY LIST:

•          Pandas in Sweaters pattern
•          sewing machine and everything you need to use it (power cord, foot pedal, bobbins, etc.)
•          fabric, cut per the pattern instructions
•          thread
•          seam ripper
•          pins
•          fabric scissors

Optional but helpful and recommended:

•          quarter inch foot (highly recommended)
•          extra needles
•          Wonder Clips
•          small scissors or snips

FABRIC LIST:

The fabric you will buy and cut will vary, depending on your choice. You could make a pillow (24” x 24”), a small quilt (46” x 50”) or a large quilt (66” x 72”). If you’re making a quilt, your pandas could have all the same fur and sweaters, or you could mix it up!

HOMEWORK:

Press and cut your fabric before class. Using a starch or starch alternative, like Best Press, will really help assembly. Contact Laura if you need any assistance understanding how to cut your fabrics.
