Quilting Bee Party 2022 - Salem

We had so much fun with our Quilting Bee! If you didn't participate, come to the party anyway to mingle with fellow sewists.

The party will be light refreshments and LOTS OF PRIZES!!!!! Because of catering restrictions, tickets must be purchased by March 4, so don’t delay!

If you finished your quilt top or garment following the rules, it must be turned in to us by March 4, 2023 in order to be entered into the drawing for prizes. Be sure your full name and phone number is on the back so that we can return it to you!

All quilts must be submitted no later than March 4, 2023 at 4pm.

PLEASE DON’T QUILT THE QUILTS!!!!  I KNOW SOME OF YOU WILL BUT THEY ARE SO MUCH HARDER TO HANG QUILTED. 

Your quilt will be hung at the party, and you must be present to win.

THE RULES

1.       You may only use fabrics from Earth Views, designed by Karen Nyberg, Kona Solids, or Grunge.
2.       You must include at least one of each of the eight blocks we give you, plus at least one block of your design. You may include as many blocks as you like, and your quilt top may be of any size.
3.       Block 2 has an applique moon and star. The star is optional.
4.       You must have sashing and/or borders. This cannot just be 9 blocks sewn together in a row. We want to see your design! Please do not quilt your top because it makes it more difficult to hang and display.
5.       Label your quilt clearly on the back with your complete name and phone number.
6.       Submit your quilt to the store before the deadline, which will be announced in December. The deadline will be about a week or two before the party.
7.       Purchase your party ticket by the deadline and attend the party. You must be present to win! (Prizes are awarded by random drawing, not by skill level. This makes it more fun because everyone has a shot at winning a prize!)
8.      BONUS: If you choose to include embroidery in your quilt top, your name will be entered in a special drawing for an embroidery gift.
9.      EXTRA SPECIAL BONUS NEW THIS YEAR: If you do not want to make a quilt top, you can still participate by making a GARMENT! The garment needs to be a wearable adult size and has to be primarily made from Earth Views fabrics. Kona Solids and Grunge may also be included. The garment can, but is not required, to contain quilting or any of the 8 blocks. (Do not register for the Quilting Bee if you are making a garment. All you will need to do it submit by the deadline and purchase your party ticket.)
