Peaceful Garden Embroidered Quilt - Eugene

Peaceful Garden is a 6-month embroidery machine and pieced quilt project. Using Amelie Scott Designs techniques, we will embroider, piece, and quilt. Must be able to embroider a 7.8” x 7.8” embroidery design. Quilt Size: 52” x 68”

Supply List:

1. Peaceful Garden by Amelie Scott embroidery Pattern (available here at the store for purchase). Have the designs downloaded and on a USB for class. If you need help, please ask before class.

2. Background fabric -2 3/4 yards

3. Sashing and border:

                A. Background-3 1/2 yards Cut into twelve 15” X 20” rectangles.

                B. Purple-1/2 yard

                C. Blue-1/4 yard

                D. Binding-1/2 yard

4. For applique blocks-small amounts of colored fabric (refer to the back of your pattern, or each sheet).

5. Pellon SF101– 5 yards of 20” wide or 1 1/2 yards of 60” wide. You will need twelve 15” X 20” rectangles.

6. Tear Away stabilizer *enough for 12 hoopings in a 10” at minimum wide hoop. *(I used NO SHOW MESH SO I DIDN’T HAVE TO TEAR AWAY)

7. Thread will vary by block so have a good variety.

8. Embroidery machine with at least a 10” square hoop, for the quilting you may want to use a larger magnetic hoop. Make sure to have your embroidery foot and several bobbins ready to go. (bring extra bobbin thread)

9. For class number five you will need sewing only supplies. Machine with ankle and your preferred 1/4” foot and foot control. Piecing thread will be used in this class.
