Fabulous Flannel -Salem

This intermediate garment construction class builds on foundational knowledge, using the Archer Button Up pattern by Grainline Studios to teach techniques and tips for skill like collars, cuffs, buttons and button holes, plus matching plaids if you want!

Please come to class with fabric already cut out and with all pattern marking transferred. If you have questions about this or want help matching patterns please see the instructor prior to class. 

As this is a longer class feel free to bring a snack or lunch. Breaks are encouraged. 

Required Supplies:
-Archer Button Up Pattern by Grainline Studio in size option of choice
-3-4 yards of flannel, depending on size. (Purchase an additional 1/2 yard if matching plaids/prints) 
-1 yard 22" fusible woven interfacing
-1 3/8" button
-8 1/2" buttons
-Polyester or cotton thread to coordinate with main fabric
-Sewing machine and all components to make it sew
-Buttonhole foot
-Basic sewing compliment (pins, fabric marking method of choice, snips, etc)

Optional Supplies: (not necessary, but will make the project easier and elevate the final garment)
-Serger or overlock foot
-Tailor's or quilter's clapper
-Tailor's ham
-Sleeve roll or sleeve board
-Spray starch
-Buttonhole cutter
-Point turner/multi tool
-Walking foot or dual feed
