Beginning Quilt Piecing: Double Irish Chain - Salem



Irish Chain quilts look complicated, but they're actually very easy and fast to piece! Learn how to make a Double Irish Chain this beginner quilting tutorial.


Class Session #1:

Description:  You will learn how to properly cut out your quilt.  Will start to sew your blocks.

Materials:
2 yards Fabric A This will be Background
5 fat Quarters (18x22 inches pieces) This is your focal Fabrics
1/3 yard Fabric A for binding or any color you want
Thread for piecing
Machine in good working order
1/4" foot for your machine
Cutting mat
Rotary cutter
pins or clips

Class Session #2:

Description: You will be making your blocks

Sewing machine in good working order
1/4" foot
Thread

Class Session #3:

Description:  You will be putting together you quilt top

Materials:
Sewing machine in good working order
1/4" foot
Thread
